Dare to Hope

Dare to hope is a mother’s wish. My name is Doris Brimpong and mother to16 year old Dante who has autism. He was diagnosed at the age of two and a half. Our journey was difficult at times but we got to a point where his condition was no longer seen as a burden but rather something to appreciate and celebrate. From this point, Dare to Hope was born.

Dare to Hope Studios (Online Radio and Social Media broadcast)

We are an online radio and social media blog studio that broadcasts to the African community.
The aim is to create awareness, bring hope and to try and change the negative perceptions, stigma and discrimination associated with autism and other learning disabilities in our community. To be a support mechanism.

Stigmatisation is our main obstacle in talking about disability/special needs in the African-Caribbean community. We have programmes such as autism&Me, where I host with my son, Dante.
Our work with One2 One Mentoring is by supporting live streaming of their panel talks and contributing to their parent Heritage programmes reaching people who be able to access the right support and guidance.
